BRUNSWICK CORP. (BC) rose 14 percent to $5.91, its highest price since Oct. 16. The maker of Sea Ray yachts and Life Fitness cardiovascular machines said it will close its boat manufacturing facility in Knoxville, Tenn., and cut 300 production and support staff at the plant as well as eliminate 275 jobs at Sea Ray's other plants and headquarters.
